About D.Bess Pump and Well Water Well Drilling and Pump Service 

D. Bess Pump and Well is owned and operated by Dave Bess since 1986. Dave started D. Bess after seeing a need in the community for a water well drilling service with integrity. Part of his passion for this business comes from a love for the Napa Valley and his neighbors. 

 

The company is run in two departments: well drilling and pump service. Pump service is operated by Ray Bertolucci and Steven McElheran, while the Well drilling portion is run by the head driller, Hank Hardister. Our team has been working together for nearly 15 years, and are dually trained.

Drilling outstanding water wells requires experienced crews with exceptional attention to detail and professionalism. That's why D Bess Pump and Well is comprised of a team of dedicated operators. 

 

Hank Hardister started helping on jobs when he was 15  and worked his way up to become head driller more than 10 years ago. He's participated in every aspect of the business and possesses excellent customer service.

 

Steven McHeleran has been a technician with the company, between being called to duty in the Air Force Reserve, since 2005.
